Wah is one, among few trained professionals in the Tri-state area, who offers Cosmetic Acupuncture, also known as a Facial Rejuvenation Treatment, which is a non-surgical face lift. (Read more on this subject under the heading of Facial Acupuncture, check our main menu).  She is affliated with the Yardley Dermatology Skin Enhancement & Wellness Center under the direction of Richard Fried, MD, a national leading skin specialist.  There Facial Acupuncture treatments are available for cosmetic purposes, which delay the skin's aging process, to addressing skin issues, such as acne, edema and puffiness, neuralgia, Bell's palsy, tics et cetera.

In the field of trauma and sports injury, Wah opened the Bucks County Pain Clinic for Alterntive Medicine, also located at the Yardley/Newtown office.  The Pain Clinic addresses all variations of pain: sports injuries, trauma, arthritis, joint pain, musclar pain, back and neck pain, as well as emotional pain.

Wah founded, developed and directed The Gautama Institute for the Healing Arts, Philadelphia's first professional school for training and certification in Shiatsu and Chinese Pharmacopia.  Leading teachers and authorities in the field of East Asian Medicine were invited to the school.  Among them was Ted Kaptchuk, OMD, Harvard's East Asian Medical researcher, and author of the famous book used in all Acupuncture schools, The Web That Has No Weaver.  Ted Kaptchuk taught the tw year Chinese Herbology program at the school, and this program provided many students the ability to pursue or augment their careers.  Other notables included, Leon Hammer, MD whose work covers Chinese pulse diagnosis, as well as Stuart Kutchins and Kiko Matsumoto.

Wah received more than ten years of training in Traditional Acupuncture, Chinese and Western Herbology and East Asian Medicine with imminent teachers from around the globe.  Ted Kaptchuk OMD, was her friend and mentor in her study of Chinese Herbology.  When Wah studied with Ted, the class was required to identify herbs according to their Latin name, Chinese name, English name, know how to write the herb in Chinese, as well as to write prescriptions in Chinese.  The first class held in New York City was brimming over with notables in the field of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.  After two years, the graduating class consisted of less than twenty students.  The road was arduous and not many could travel it.

At the Tri-State Institute for Traditional Acupuncture, she graduated cum laud with the school's second year class.   Tri-State was New York's first creditial acupuncture school.  At the time of her study, there were less than ten books written in English on the subject of Acupuncture.  Now there are countless books and hundreds of schools throughout the United States and the world.

In the study of Shiatsu, Wah was the first graduate from the now famous Ohashi Institute for Shiatsu at its inception in New York City.  She also studied with the revered Master Masanaga for advanced Shiatsu techniques, and for Masanaga's unique orthopedic Shiatsu style.  Wah studied Seiki, an energetic auric technique, with Master Kishi.

Carol Saine has featured Wah's work in The Philadelphia Magazine .  Wah is a frequent public speaker for various organizations and schools and the media.  She currently teaches at Bucks County Community College as well as at other centers, and has taught internationally.  As a writer, Wah contributes to health publications, and currently is engaged in writing for The New Visions Magazine.
